Why local service websites lose the job
Local buyers don't research for long. Someone choosing a car wash decides in under a minute, on a phone, often while driving somewhere else. A homeowner with a problem calls whoever looks credible and answers first.
Most home and local service websites lose that moment in the same ways:
- People don't know the service exists. Many homeowners try to fix it themselves, give up, and replace something that only needed servicing.
- The result can't be described in words. "Deep cleaned" and "like new" mean nothing until someone sees the before and the after side by side.
- The service area is invisible. You cover four counties, but the site names one town, so local searches go to competitors.
- Every service sits under one heading. Six services on one page means none of them gets found on its own.
- Every quote starts with a phone call. Enquiries that arrive in the evening or between jobs have nothing to catch them.
- Memberships are hard to compare. For subscription businesses like car washes, plans hidden behind a call never get chosen.
What I build for home and local services
- A website built around your service area. AI WordPress website development starts from $999. The Complete package, from $2,200, adds a dedicated page per service, local SEO with LocalBusiness schema, CRM intake and booking or enquiry automation.
- Local search across every town you cover. AI SEO services from $600 a month include Google Business Profile management, consistent citations, schema and a monthly report on rankings, traffic and enquiries.
- A CRM that catches every enquiry. AI CRM integration and automation starts from $1,100 and is live in about five days. Forms, calls and messages land in one list and get an instant reply. The Automate package, from $2,400, adds missed-call and no-show recovery and booking automation.
- Answers for the evening questions. An AI chatbot trained on your business from $900 handles "do you cover my area" and pricing questions out of hours, then books the job or hands it to you.
Every site runs on tools a field business can manage between jobs: WordPress for the site, a CRM for the quotes, and nothing that needs a developer on call.
Recent home and local service projects
- Grill Clean Up: Jeff and his crew clean, repair and service grills across Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Bucks counties in Pennsylvania. The WordPress site uses before-and-after sliders as the main proof, sets out all six services in full and publishes 238 municipalities for local search. It pulls in 55 five-star Google reviews live and puts a quote form and click-to-call on every page.
- Magic Wave Express Car Wash: an express car wash in Tulare, California, running Ride & Shine equipment. The one-page site compares all four membership plans on one screen with prices up front, from Express at $21.99 to Platinum at $39.99, and places the first-month-free offer where people hesitate. Local schema helps Tulare drivers find it on a phone, and booking requests go to a CRM that replies 24/7.
How a home services project runs
- Discovery. We start from the jobs you want more of in your calendar and work back to the site that brings them.
- Architecture. Service pages, area pages and the keyword for each, approved in writing before design starts.
- Design and build. You approve the design, then I build with your real photos, reviews and service details, and connect the CRM.
- Launch and training. Analytics, Search Console and a recorded walkthrough so you can update prices and photos yourself.
The price, scope and launch date are fixed in writing before work starts. Hosting and domain are bought in your name, not resold through me.
You work with me directly. I've shipped 1,400+ projects since 2014 for clients in 40+ countries. Book a free 30-minute call, tell me how customers reach you today, and I'll show you where the jobs are leaking.
