The client
NutraSentials is a wellness brand built on formulas the research actually supports: natural ingredients, real dosages and nothing added to pad the label. Its range includes turmeric supplements, mineral drops and digestive formulas.
That is a genuine advantage. It is worth almost nothing if the store does not show it.
The problem
Every supplement brand online says "high quality". A shopper comparing five tabs cannot tell which one means it.
Supplements are one of the most crowded shelves on the internet. The shopper is sceptical by default, usually comparing several brands at once and looking for a reason to rule one out.
- "High quality" sounded the same from every brand.
- Ingredient and dosage detail was hard to find.
- Nothing separated the range from cheaper rivals.
- Shoppers compared tabs and left without asking a single question.
- The store had to launch on a tight deadline.
What we built
The brief was to answer the sceptic first: what is in it, how much, and why it works. Then make buying the easy part.
I built the store as a Shopify store development project on the platform's native stack. There is no heavy page builder app, no subscription the client is stuck paying and nothing another developer could not pick up tomorrow.
- Evidence first. Ingredients, dosages and sourcing sit above the buy button, where the decision is actually made.
- A scannable ingredient panel. Dosages are laid out to stay readable on a phone instead of collapsing into noise.
- A reason to believe on every listing. Each product states its claim up top, not in a tab at the bottom of the page.
- Education built in. A journal answers the questions shoppers search before buying, linked from the products it supports.
- SEO ready. Product schema, clean URLs and descriptive headings, so each formula can be found on its own terms.
- A clean mobile flow. From product page to cart to checkout, with filters on collections and a side cart that keeps the shopper on the page.
The result
The store now explains each formula and its benefits before asking anyone to buy. That builds trust with cautious supplement shoppers, who are exactly the people NutraSentials sells to.
It is also easy for the team to manage and expand without a developer. Adding a new formula means adding a product, not calling for help.
Proof before price is the rule I start from with all stores for supplements and health brands. A sceptic who finds the dosage straight away stays. One who has to dig for it leaves.
