ShephDa Signature Mobile Wound Care: a healthcare website for in-home wound care across 17 counties

ShephDa Signature Mobile Wound Care is a nurse-practitioner-led practice in Rosharon, Texas, treating complex wounds in patients' homes. Referrals were strong, but the old website didn't clearly explain the service, the coverage area or insurance. I built a WordPress site that puts those answers first, with pages for 17 counties, booking and referral forms and a HIPAA-compliant CRM that follows up automatically.

The client

ShephDa Signature Mobile Wound Care is a nurse-practitioner-led practice based in Rosharon, Texas. It treats complex wounds in the patient's own home, across a 17-county area.

The care was good and the referrals were strong. The website was the weak link.

The problem

Mobile healthcare is harder to sell online than a clinic. There is no address to picture and no waiting room to photograph. The one detail that matters most, whether the practice covers the patient's county, is the detail most sites bury.

The old site had five clear gaps:

  • Visitors couldn't tell that care happens at home.
  • Clinical credibility wasn't visible.
  • Insurance questions stopped people from booking.
  • A 17-county service area was impossible to present locally.
  • Enquiries came by phone only, during office hours.

The brief: make the home-visit model obvious in the first five seconds, make the service area searchable county by county, and stop losing enquiries that arrive after hours.

What we built

I rebuilt the site on WordPress as part of my AI WordPress website development service, around how a patient or a referring clinician actually moves through it.

  • The home-visit model above the fold. The first screen says what the practice does and that it happens at home.
  • A page per wound type and per region. Dedicated county and wound-type pages with schema, so people searching locally land on the right page.
  • A plain-English insurance and eligibility page. It answers the question that used to stop people booking.
  • Booking and referral forms on every page. Patients can request a visit and clinicians can send a referral from wherever they are on the site.
  • A HIPAA-compliant CRM. Enquiries flow into a compliant CRM with a 24/7 auto-response, automated follow-ups and reminders.
  • Mobile-first design. Large buttons, readable text and simple navigation for patients and carers on a phone.

The stack is deliberately ordinary and well supported. For a medical practice that has to stay online and stay compliant, maintainable beats clever, and any competent developer can pick it up tomorrow.

The result

The rebuilt site works harder for the practice. Patients can check whether their county is covered, understand how home visits work and request care without picking up the phone, at any hour.

Every enquiry now gets an immediate reply and a follow-up instead of waiting for office hours, which makes the next step easier when it matters most.
